With the City of Omaha facing unprecedented financial challenges in the next few years, I have decided to form an exploratory committee while I consider a run for Mayor in the 2009 spring elections.

I have the energy, the experience and the ability to make a difference.  My previous two terms as mayor, as well as the perspective of being in the private sector the past eight years, puts me in a great position to address the issues and continue Omaha’s progress.

To be better prepared should I decide to run, I plan to spend this summer talking to people in all parts of our city.  I remain committed to listening and gathering opinions throughout the election process.

This website is one way of staying connected with me. It is designed to both provide and gather information. Use it to learn more about my professional and public service experience, to find out the latest news, sign on as a volunteer, make a campaign contribution, and communicate with me via email.
